Off the Bench


 

My involvement in the community strengthens my work as a judge because it keeps me grounded in the real life challenges facing the people I serve. Through my service with local nonprofit organizations and community initiatives, I see firsthand how issues like housing instability, family hardship, and access to resources affect individuals long before they enter a courtroom. This perspective allows me to approach each case with fairness, compassion, and a practical understanding of how court decisions impact families and our community as a whole. Being engaged outside the courtroom helps ensure that the justice I administer is informed, thoughtful, and responsive to the needs of those living in precinct one.
